Life Before Damaged Vol #10 by H.M. Ward

Received an ARC for an Honest Review. As you all know, I am a huge fan of H.M. Ward’s works so that this review might be a little biased.

To those readers who are new to this series, I would highly recommend you read Damaged 1 & 2 before reading the Life Before Damaged Series volumes 1-10. This series is all about Peter Ferro Gantz, Alpha-Cassanova, a badass motorcycle riding rich man who falls in love with a good girl. During LBD series, we see that Peter has evolved into the person shown in Damage series. We see him go through all the highs and lows and experience all kinds of emotions during his journey. Peter Ferro Gantz is one hell of a book boyfriend!

All I can say about this last book is nothing as it appears to be, and prepared for shock & awe. Absolute astonishment!

Maggie Adams

MaggieAdamsAfter spending two and half days reading Whistlin Dixie, Leather and Lace, and Something’s Gotta Give the Minx left me with a cliffhanger!

Met Maggie Adams at a release party for Melody Dawn’s first book! Maggie appeared to be a sweet, fun author, that I was intrigued to know.  I purchased her books, then began the process of reading them, she didn’t mention that it was a series about SEVEN brothers! She is driving me crazy, and I’m not so sure when the next book is being release! The story is totally BRILLIANT, and I need to know what happens, you just can’t let your readers stew with anticipation or can you?  Well done, Ms. Adams, well done.

Catch me, by Jennifer Probst

Catch me

I remembered receiving the Nook from my loving husband for my birthday in 2011. I believe that is when the introduction to Jennifer’s writing started and couldn’t get enough of her words (stalker). The Steele Brothers were one of many series that I have read. Since then I think I have read everything on different devices:

Heart of Steel
Dare Me
Play Me
The Book of Spells
Sex, Lies, and Contracts
Holiday Hoax
The Tantric Principle
All the Way
Baby, it’s cold outside
Beyond me
Catch me
Dantes Fire
Executive Seduction
Searching for Someday
The Marriage Merger
The Marriage Mistake
The Marriage Trap
All the Way
Summer Sins
Searching for Always
Searching for Beautiful
Chasing Me
Jennifer’s Sneak Peeks
Searching for Perfect
Searching for Someday
Rising Storm (Dance in the Wind)

Like I said stalker( fangirl) whatever you want to call me, it’s all good. I re-read Catch Me after reading about 690 books, Catch me, was all new to me, some things I remember, but other details not so much. I loved the book so much more the second time around and would suggest other fans to re-read as well. If you’re not like me, fangirl, and are a newbie to Jennifer Probst, lucky for you, JP re-released the series, read it!

Rekindle the Flame by Kate Meader

Received an ARC from Net Gallery for an honest review.

My first time meeting Kate Meader was at an online (Facebook) Book Release Party for Baby It’s Cold Outside. The second time was in person (fan girl) RWA in NYC, July 2015.

Flirting with Fire (Luke Almeida & Kinsey Taylor) Hot in Chicago #1
Feel the Heat (Lili DeLuca & Jack Kilroy) Hot in the Kitchen #1
All Fired Up (Cara DeLuca & Shane Doyle) Hot in the Kitchen #2
Hot & Bothered (Taddeo DeLuca & Jules Kilroy) Hot in the Kitchen #3
Playing with Fire ( Alexandra Dempsey & Eli Cooper) Hot in Chicago #2
Rekindle the Flame (Beck Rivera & Darcy Cochrane) Hot in Chicago #3

Kate’s Hot in Chicago series is extremely hot and should come with an extinguisher, or at least a mini fan. This series is about Firefighting Dempsey’s, a family of foster siblings who have committed their lives to the service just like their foster father who died in service as well as their oldest brother Logan. Every member of the Dempsey clan has issues; Beck is no different. As a difficult teenager, he fell head over heels for Chicago’s elites daughter Darcy. Knowing he was not good enough for her, he left her broken hearted with no reason as to why. You have to read to find out what happens when Darcy returns to Chicago.

Anything for You by Kristan Higgins

Anything for You

Kristan Higgins is just one of my favorite go-to authors after reading something dark. For the most part, her writing can always make me smile.

Anything for You touches upon some deep issues; Fetal Alcohol Syndrome, children of alcoholics, adult children of alcoholics, poverty, bullying, sexual promiscuity, fidelity, divorce, second families, trust, and “normal” relationships.

Kristan did her homework on these issues to write this book perfectly.
Having done research on these issues in college, Kristan’s portrayal of all the characters in this story are correct. Which is important even if the book in fictional it is still believable. Although this book touches upon some deep issues, it is written in a way that doesn’t knock you over the head. There is pretty light stuff, fun moments, the banter between siblings, and an HEA.

Addicted to Sin By Monica James

Addicted to Sin

Received an ARC from Net Gallery for an honest review.

This book introduced me to the writings of Monica James. Have to say was impressed with this story, so much so, I read it in one day. Dr. Dixon Mathews is a Manwhore Psychiatrist, addicted to sin; his addiction is sex. As with all addictions, it starts with secrets, lies, and promises to the devil himself. Thinking that no one will get hurt, it all feels good, and after all isn’t that what we all want to obtain? However, in the web we weave, isn’t there always someone who gets hurt when the truth finally revealed? Can’t wait for her next book in the Addiction Series!
