Something Borrowed by Lydia Michaels

No secrets stay hidden forever…

Every survivor is first a victim, but from the depths of weakness comes an awakening of strength that is empty and fearless. After escaping her abusive husband, Dr. Chloe Wolfe’s luck runs out and Trenton Cole steps in. Chloe reluctantly agrees to let this tall, dark, and devastatingly hot stranger help her find her children.

What she doesn’t know is that Trent is the bounty hunter hired by her husband to catch her. Playing it safe, Chloe escapes his presence without a trace, but no secrets remain hidden forever. When worlds collide six years later, neither Chloe nor Trent have forgotten each other, but when her hero’s betrayal is exposed Chloe finds herself in love with another enemy. An unforgettable love story of a woman who sacrifices everything to protect the ones she loves, and loses her self along the way.

A heart-wrenching tale of survival, forgiveness, and new beginnings.

RETRIBUTION by Andrea Bills

retributionWas gifted an ARC in exchange for an honest review. The Fidelity World is growing by leaps and bounds and I am grateful that I was able to read this one. Cole has been following in his Grandfather’s footsteps, seems to be the only one in his family that is on the up and up. Annie a farmer’s daughter thought the small town in which she grew up was stifling and she needed to experience life in the big city, New York, that is! “Concrete Jungle where dreams are made of there’s nothing you can’t do.” Well, maybe escape from your abuser ex-boyfriend. It’s always nice to check in with Aleatha Romig’s Fidelity World.

About the author:  Andrea Bills

Andrea spends her time while she’s not dreaming up friends and villains alike chasing after her two kids and husband at their home in rural West Virginia.
Her guilty pleasure once the kids are asleep is to read. She reads everything she can get her hands on and then she reads it over and over and over again. Her all time favorite book is secretly tucked away under her bed looking very war-battered from the hundreds of reads.
The Power Series is her breakthrough series as an indie author. She attributes her writing skills to her overactive imagination and her husbands’ wacky dreams.

Wishing Well by Lily White

“Journalist, Meadow Graham, is invited to interview death row inmate, Vincent Mercier. Given three days to hear his sordid confession, Meadow seeks to learn why a wealthy hotel owner killed four people, including her twin sister.

Sensually exotic and enigmatic, Vincent details his deception while bragging about the amusement he took in manipulating Meadow’s sister.

Their interview is a battle of wills.
His story is a twisted web of coercion and lies.
And the tragedy is too perfect to be real.

Will Meadow discover all of Vincent’s secrets while she fights to protect her own?”

My new thing these days is to read a book without much knowledge beforehand, no preconceived notions or ideas, no hints, no thoughts of twists or turns within the pages or trying to get into the head of the author, just read the damn book, pure and simple.  It truly is the only way to read a book these days.  With that in mind, I have been trying to come up with a review of this outstanding book without spoilers for about a week and I’m not sure if I can do it. However, I can tell you how I felt after reading this story. Intrigued, Stunned, Astonished, Flabbergasted, and Stupefy. I needed to know what is a sociopath? What is the difference between a sociopath and psychopath? Now I have a need to read everything written by Lily White, was told by several friends and fellow readers that she is a must read dark author and sure enough, once you read her work there is a need for more, more of her words strung together, but it’s not just her words, it’s the way in which she tells her stories that have you feeling like you lost something, more than likely, it’s your mind-BLOWN!

I know this is not a great review, told you didn’t think I could do it but, if you want to read a fabulous review please read Shabnam Arora’s review:https://www.goodreads.com/user/show/26191846-shabby–bookbistroblog
