“Journalist, Meadow Graham, is invited to interview death row inmate, Vincent Mercier. Given three days to hear his sordid confession, Meadow seeks to learn why a wealthy hotel owner killed four people, including her twin sister.
Sensually exotic and enigmatic, Vincent details his deception while bragging about the amusement he took in manipulating Meadow’s sister.
Their interview is a battle of wills.Â
His story is a twisted web of coercion and lies.Â
And the tragedy is too perfect to be real.
Will Meadow discover all of Vincent’s secrets while she fights to protect her own?”
My new thing these days is to read a book without much knowledge beforehand, no preconceived notions or ideas, no hints, no thoughts of twists or turns within the pages or trying to get into the head of the author, just read the damn book, pure and simple. It truly is the only way to read a book these days. With that in mind, I have been trying to come up with a review of this outstanding book without spoilers for about a week and I’m not sure if I can do it. However, I can tell you how I felt after reading this story. Intrigued, Stunned, Astonished, Flabbergasted, and Stupefy. I needed to know what is a sociopath? What is the difference between a sociopath and psychopath? Now I have a need to read everything written by Lily White, was told by several friends and fellow readers that she is a must read dark author and sure enough, once you read her work there is a need for more, more of her words strung together, but it’s not just her words, it’s the way in which she tells her stories that have you feeling like you lost something, more than likely, it’s your mind-BLOWN!
I know this is not a great review, told you didn’t think I could do it but, if you want to read a fabulous review please read Shabnam Arora’s review:https://www.goodreads.com/user/show/26191846-shabby–bookbistroblog
