My Review:
Harvest of Sighs is the third installment of dark romantic Thornchapel series. While reading this story, my mind kept repeating the line from Winston Churchill, “Those who fail to learn from history are condemned to repeat it, and the quote from the bible regarding the Sins of the Father upon the sons to the third and fourth generations. So while Sierra Simone takes us on a depraved immoral sinful ride through Thornchapel’s history we notice that human nature does do exactly as expected and repeats the sins of the father. While the relationships among Auden, St. Sebastian, Proserpina, Father Becket, Delphine, and Rebecca all intertwined and convoluted, it also gave us insight into their parents’ relationships and the their parents, and so on. The readers get a deeper insight into the working relationship and psychology between a dominant, submissive, threesome, and any other kind of kink you can think of. Looking forward to the conclusion but also dreading the end of this series.
