I’ve served my country, a man, and a cause. I’ve given my whole being while at the same time finding its true meaning. There was no way for me to know that the day I met the men who were to become my best friends they would introduce me to the love of my life.

My Review *****
Dusk is the first book of the Dangerous Web series. Reid Murray and Lorna Pierce’s story, Aleatha, introduced them in the Web of Sin series and gave us a little back story on how they met in Cinderella, a novella published in Dark Fairy Tales earlier this year. But no worries, if you didn’t read it, you can still enjoy this story.
Reid Murray is the computer wizard, a sleuth finder of hidden gems on the screen, be it computers or videos. But don’t let his brains fool you; he will break your neck if necessary. He is a trained soldier like his best friends, Mason Pierce, Patrick Kelly, and Sterling Sparrow. These four men are not only friends, soldiers, and brothers who served their country and now maintain Chicago’s underbelly.
Mason’s sister is Lorna, a fiery red-head with creamy porcelain skin and emerald green eyes that will melt your soul. When Reid meets Lorna at a party, he falls head or heels in love. This story has all the feels, but there are so many hurdles. The mysteries and challenges are never-ending. I love the whole Web series: Tangled Web, Web of Secrets, and Web of Desire.
