My Review: *****
“Heresy -noun- opinion profoundly at odds with what is generally accepted.”
Shane Carter’s nickname is Heresy, the name of the fourth book in the Antihero Inferno Series written by Lily White. He’s Arrogant, aggravating, and absolute Chaos.
Brinley Thornton, AKA Nerdy Ninja, twenty-four years old, is working on her master’s degree in philosophy. Her father, Jerry, ran a security business and always said, “Life is just one disaster waiting to happen, and as a young woman, I’m its favorite victim. Rules don’t apply when you’re dancing with the devil.”
Amelie-Ames Hart was raised by a single mom and her older brother, Kane. Ames is also a student and a dancer at the Myth, a deprave and macabre club. Ames and Brinley are friends who met some of the Inferno at a party in the Governor’s mansion, the twins; Damon, Ezra, and Shane, who accidentally spilled his drink down the front of Brinley’s shirt as his introduction.
Scott Jeremy Clayborn is the Governor’s mercenary on steroids; he was Ivy’s driver and is Everly’s brother. Everly is still running away, but no one knows where she is or why she’s running.
Here are two of my favorite lines; “You are nothing more than a painful squirt of runny $hit, and you’ll never get anywhere near my panties.”
“Explain that to me like I’m five years old, Shane, and use crayons if necessary.”
This series gets more complicated, more people are involved, and more secrets are made and kept. I’m so happy Lily White is back, feeling healthy, and writing.
